I've got the 2.2 in a 2WD S10 and also in a 4WD PUP. I pretty much get 30 MPG no matter how I drive. The 2.2 is a great little engine but parts are gettting scarce. Never really needed anything beyond glow plugs and filters, but if I ever do - it might be the end for the engine. Isuzu built the 2.2 from existing gas engines and that's why parts are so limited. They look similar to Isuzu reefer engines, but are totally different when it comes to parts.
