Always thought it would be cool to go flintlock, but after a lot of shooting the .58 Springfield,,,I sort of developed a flinch caused by the large musket caps. So switched to Black Powder Cartridge,,,11.7 x 56R Remington 1867 Danish Rolling Block,,is my current favorite. The Frindhsip, IN shoot is really the place to talk with other folks who are into flintlocks. Lots of nice friendly folks down there,,and also tons of related venders with great stuff to buy,,take home, and have fun with. Have a safe and happy 2010 and use lots of Black Powder,,,one of the best ways to have fun. Harvey
