Some of these things are solid iron. Going to take something more than a couple sticks of TNT. The program said the most practical approach would be some kind of propulsion system to steer it away. Needs to be done at a great distance where the deflection angle (and the power needed) is minimal. This also would allow reuse of the propulsion unit for future use.
