When I was growing up in the 40s my mother had a wood fired cook stove and a 2 burner Perfection stove that she cooked on in summer time.Perfection oil stoves are still being made and are very high priced.There are many people who refuse to give up the old ways.Some Amish have settled in the town of Unity.They are building new homes with wood furnaces in them.I see one fellow often who goes to the store with a horse and buggy.The women wear long dresses at their vegetable stand.Millions of people have used unvented heaters.I picked up a fellow who was hitch hiking with a 5 gal can.He was out of work because of muddy conditions.He could not get oil deliveries because the state decided his 50 gal drum was illegal.I left him at the corner store and made sure he got a ride back.I am fed up with laws that do more harm than good.
