It is unusual for anyone middle aged or older to die without some assets. Especially if you have put a lot of time and care into collecting anything, especially something like old machinery, you should by all means have an accurate inventory and WILL of how you want those items distributed after you die.
I guess I should take my own advice. It has been about 15 years and a lot of water under the bridge since my wife and I reviewed/revised our wills. Something to think about this year.
