99 times out of 100 some tinkerer takes a wild guess and replaces the front pump without doing any trouble shooting.
Those front pumps don't work when not supplied with oil from the low pressure transmission screen,pump,filter,lines or control/relief valves if they have faults.
If the screens or filters are plugged with fibre or metal powder. Run run away very very fast. Somebody has abused the tractor with the wrong/dirty oil or rode the brakes.Or ignored worn brakes.
We tookd the filters of and they looked pretty clean. Also the long screen filter. It had absolutly no debris in it.
