Another idea on the fenc charger idea since you say the vehicle has plastic handles. You could buy you a couple of those old fashioned seat covers, the kind that are designed to vent and are made of coiled wire covered in something. Hook up the charger to the cover and when they slid in the vehicle or otherwise touched the thing they would get the jolt of their life. Good luck.
