I'm beginning to think a riser tube might be good insurance. The sediment bulb is coming off anyway and I'm rebuilding the diaphraghm shutoff to boot. Like I said in a previous post this girl's 50th birthday is Jan 7 so a good cleaning and tune-up is her present.
This is the first time we've had problems with junk in the tank so the track record is pretty good. The needle n seat do leak and I've replaced them at least twice through the years, but that's about it for the carb. We've kept our machinery in above average shape through the years, so sending the carb off for a high priced overhaul for the first time in a half century doesn't bother me much. I'm kinda lucky to have Roberts only 30 miles away. Jim
