I have one disagreement with the post made . The truckers are not subsidized They pay fuel tire sales taxes etc. the railroad doesn,t but has to keep up track etc. I do not own trucks but can feel their crunchtoo. Sad to say but for national secirety we need railroads to move mast amounts ofproducts. I have to agree bigger is not better usually adds to cost of operation. One thing mergers guarantee is top mangement will come out okay
