I know it depends a bit on what you are doing. I'm talking about general work on a 40 hp tractor. I'd like enough weight to help, but not so much as to wear the front end out prematurely. I have a Deutz 36 hp(3607) with no weights and the front end is forever in the air. It does have fluid in the tires. I plan to add some weight to the Deutz. I have an IH 2504 (40hp)that has filled rear tires, rear wheel weights (one-piece), and a 400lb bumper (the added weight is welded on) I read here that the IH weighs 4100lb dry. I don't mind the rear weights and value some added weight out front, but that seems a bit much. The problem is it's not easy to take off. I'd like to decide how much to keep before I cut and weld. Thanks
