If you have a JD-B that idles smooth then you have a very big problem with it. Now if it idles and sounds sort of like a hit and miss engine then it is running just the way it should and the more hit/miss it sounds then the better it is running believe it or not but that it how they are and that is why they are called popping Johnny's
