Hi Mike, I've never had to deal with the IRS on this issue, but the accountant has me save the reciept for every purchase. I have a cabinet full of reciepts, all filed by supplier and date, and marked with a "use" code. Once in a while they come in handy to check where I got something, or who I got something from, but I assume I'm really keeping them in case the IRS wants to arm wrestle. So my point is, unless the monthly invoice is one that details every item purchased it is not a substitute for having to save all those reciepts...Al English
