Two choices 1. lure it out with the live trap and rope scenario(with a cover on the trap so it can't see you comming), and then seal up the porch so it can't get back in. 2. Call a professional vermin trapper to catch and kill it and dispose of it properly. They can be rabies carriers. I had one under my front porch (cement but hollow) last year. I just left it alone and it eventually went on it's way. I don't have a dog now though. That's a whole different story. I prefer not to mess with them if I can help it.
