Amstrad, This is the easiest and most simple way to free up a stuck motor, I know of!!! As Dean said you will need to partially disassemble the motor... Remove, gas tank, intake/exhaust manifold, head, and pan. Also remove and mark each rod cap too! At this point it should be obvious to which cylinder is stuck (signs of rust on the top of the pistons) Remove all flammables from the area, roll the tractor outside, fill the cylinder that will hold the most liquid by volume with Diesel and add a splash of gas, set the mixture on fire, Now sit down and drink a cup of coffee after the fire burns itself out drive the piston out from the bottom. Now start on the next piston and start the process over. On the pistons that are near TDC you may have to fire it 2,3,4 or more times to get the rust to break loose. You should be able to do a 4 cylinder motor in a 2 or 3 hrs in most cases, Usually there is only one piston that is really stuck, the others usually have light surface rust, You should usually be able to save the pistons in most cases.
