What model of 1962 MF ? We need to know if we are going to be able to tell you where it goes in. Typically most MF's of that vintage don't use ATF as hydraulic oil. (AFAIK anyway) MF "Permatran III" or equivalent is pretty standard trans/hydraulic fluids for MF tractors of that vintage. Also (typically speaking again), if you put ATF in a hydraulic system not designed for it, it can cause the O-rings to swell up, stick and either freeze up control valves or commit other system mayhem. bb
