I am attempting to pull the brakes drum off of the shaft on an A-C D-12. The parts book shows a retaining ring behind the drum and I suppose that it is to provide for a stop only when reinstalling the drum since the service manual indicates that the drum is pulled with no mention of removing this ring. I have applied a good deal of pressure with my puller but no movement. Should I heat this drum to aid in removal?
