Dry Ice is CO2,like the "snow" you get from a co2 fire extinguisher.Very cold and when it evaporates it leaves no residue.Super cooling the pistons/cylinders COULD cause them to free up due to expansion/contraction of the metal but COULD also fracture the metal(in my opinion).I have not heard of this procedure,but then I do live a sheltered life here in the northwoods.Also be careful w/the dry ice,it can hurt ya if improperly handled.
