Yes! Alternative fuel! I do NOT mean electric cars which you plug into an electric socket to recharge either. What is needed to keep the GASOLINE industry HONEST is a true competitor. A fuel from a source THEY do not control any part of production thereof. Big oil knows this and that is why they are so down on even ethanol. Imagine how they would react to say hydrogen fuel cell powered cars, especially if fuel retailers were all competitors. Give someone a near monopoley and guess what? They raise prices and lie about so called shortages or whatever. You will NOT see Exxon, BP/AMOCO, MOBILE, Occidental, or any other oil company admit that high prices are just their way of gouging you for your addiction to their product. Maybe our best hope is to demand the breakup of these megasize oil companies into tiny oil companies.
