Im a new comer to this but I have spent couple years now looking for basically the same. I ended up buying a 1968 3020. SWEET. I really like it but I also spent 6000.00 for it but wanted something with 65 horse. I looked at J.D.60's and Alis D17 or WD45. believe they are about the horsepower you are looking for. D17 high side 50-55. WD45 and J.D.60's 40ish? However these are considered Collector type tractors BUT there are alot of them out there and can still get parts. Also have you thought about the Ford 9N. not sure on their horse thinking about 25-35 somewhere. My advise as I was given is.....Having more hp is better then not enough. SO TRUE SO TRUE. prices on the above tractors ive seen from 60's depending on condition 500-3500, D17 about 2500.-3500. There are others out there that can give you tons more info but maybe this helps. Also this sight gives tractor names with hp and other miscel info which might come in handy. www.tractortips.com good luck scott p.s. ill keep my 3020 but would like a 4020.

Elliott said while this
