(pointing) says, "Take that f*****g dozer over there, dig a hole 12 feet deep. Pack the material into the berm... and you have a lagoon." I asked about a liner... He askes "what do you need a liner for?" I remarked about a layer of sand... to which he replied... "it'll plug in a few days". Don't apply for permits. Just shut your face and dig the hole was the moral of the story... If anyones asks... it was always there.
While I'm sure there are places where this might not be a good idea, the 200 feet of fireclay we have under us does tend to make for a very impermeable layer.
