Whoa Cannonball! That sounds scary to me (chain toplink). Don't you run the risk of the mower ever flipping over on the lift arms and squashing you like a BUG??? On mine to copensate I use a std. toplink to the 3pth on the implement, then 1" wide flat stock from the top of the implement down to 3" from the wheel. For the last 3" I have chain welded to flat stock and to the wheel mount. This gives me some flex - whole unit flexs on uneven ground and can pivot on the two lift arms w/o risk of coming over on me. That's my nickle's worth.
