I have a hard time dealing on personal sales. I just don't do it well. I really love auctions - I can bid what I think is right, and either I get it or not. No one can say I stole it, asked too much, etc.
My personality just doesn't do well with dickering on a personal sale.
I'd say a radiator with minor repairs is worth more than 4 bolts, but - I donno. I could see myself getting into a situation where I don't have the values right in other people's eyes either, as I place a value on stuff that is based on me, not on what the market will bear.
