When I found out the price of a new starter for a 1950 Oliver we put an either injector system on it. Never a problem with it. Bought a 2640 JD cheap with a smokey exhaust problem that the previous owner had used a lot of ether in, and it required a total engine overhaul but it would start right up after about $1000
