Sad to say, but you"ll generally find that if you have something coming up before a local board/authority/commission of any real monetary value, that if you"re represented by a member of one of the local well-connected law firms you"ll have a much better chance of coming out ahead... Attacking these people, especially pointing out to them the errors of their ways, is counterproductive in the extreme, unless you"re attempting to gain publicity for a reform movement... We laugh about and make fun of the "backward" places where nothing gets done without bribes all along the way; here, you have to hire a local mouthpiece---I see little difference..
