The general perception is that Mac costs a lot more. No discounting. I know, Mac is better but I can talk my fool head off and no one listens including my better half who insists that Mac would not be compatible with all the stuff she's involved in. Mostly charity work, church, etc., including lots of bookeeping. Kind of like trying to convince people that buying John Deere is worth the extra money but guess what? If anything JD is cheaper. I bought a new John Deere corn planter because it was $4000 less than a Kinze and JD just wanted a small down payment with the rest due on delivery. Kinze wanted the whole thing up front and delivery about 6 months later. I just bought a standard item at JD that they consider standard in stock for $33. Case IH wanted $67. They said it was not an in stock part and the price was due to a delivery charge. A lot of it is hype and the resulting perception.
