Can you get the stamped serial number behind the starter with the other numbers? That would help. You might take a wire brush and some chalk to the area and see if something else turns up. It sounds like a 3600 based on the transmission and model number. A picture would help. DOes it have radius rods on the front axle and dual power steering cylinders and drag links? Is the PTO independant or a 2 stage clutch? Are the brakes outboard drum or inboard wet disc? I expect they're drum if it's a 3600...
