I grew up on a farm in the 60's. I'm a chemist now but I hobby farm about 30 acres. I grow about 5 acreas of corn, 4 acrea of oats and the rest is hay. I feed a few ducks and geese, occassionally a cow and a pig and maybe a few turkeys. I sell the excess hay and it pays for the rest of the hobby. I have 5 of the old Internationals/Farmalls. The oldest is 1936 and the newest is 1955. Most of my machinery falls in that age group too. In a lot of ways I'm reliving my childhood without the finanial risk. I tell people I'd have a very modern farm if it was 1950.
