batch driers are cheaper to buy and require the least extra equipment to operate, I bought a working 450 Grain Chief 10 yrs. ago for $90.00 on a farm sale, batch driers have less capacity and need to be baby sitted to load /unload and top off during drying ect. ,auto batch driers/ continuous driers can dry all night un -attended but you need to have a dry corn auger that will run on demand preferably dumping into a bin with air to cool so to gain capacity. I use a bin drier and would never get done with a batch drier.
