I use throwaway medical gloves,bought by boxful from drugstore.Thin enough to give you feel,keeps hands clean,also keeps natural oils/sweat from your fingers off what you are refinishing and causing a blemish in the new finish.For degreasing and such I use commercial(reusable)"rubber" gloves.....just make sure what solvent you are using doesn't "eat" the glove material.I try to use mostly biodegradable cleaners/degreasers and hot water pressure washer.
