for the 4 speeds, there was not a live pto.. it was trans pto.. only the 5 speeds with dual clutch on the 00/01 series had live pto ( ok.. the 01 series could get you independent pto with the SOS tranny ).
There wewre add on pinion clutches to give you essentially live pto for the 8n and naa. though i've nver heard of on on a 00/01 series.
I guess with a lathe, torch and welder anything is possible though..
