I don't think the filter is the issue. Decided to remove the filter and discovered it was full of oil. Went to Nappa and got a different filter and some Lucas oil stabilizer. It looked like STP honey at $11.99 a quart. Lucas had a demo with gears and a hand crank and it showed how it sticks to engine parts. Don't see how it can hurt to use it. After replacing the oil filter, putting in the lucas and warming up the engine, I shut it off and restarted it. It only took 3 seconds before the oil pressure started to build. Let you know what happens after it sets over night. Does anyone have an issue with using Lucas oil treatment?
