How much more power do you want? And do you want a puller or a tractor for field work? A 4-53N with 50's is rated 136 HP @ 2800 RPM at the flywheel. Bigger injectors and higher RPM will make more power at the expense of longevity. A company in Houston used to modify 4-53's with a turbo and intercooler for 200HP at 3200 RPM. Piston rings would last about 24 hours on the dyno with that load. There is also a factory turbocharged version of the 4-53 engine that makes more power. With 60's the rating is 185 @ 2500. Since there are several internal changes from the natural to turbo, it would almost be worth it to locate a 4-53T for your tractor. And then there is the air cleaner, muffler, radiator, etc. etc. needed to accommodate the turbo engine on the Oliver. Or, you could install a 6V-53N, 210 Hp @ 2800 RPM. PJ
