Honing cylinders

Hey Guys, Thanks for the excellent ideas on pulling cylinder liners. Now that I can do it, I'm not sure I want to. Honing in place sounds like a good idea, but my knowledge of and tools necessary to hone is limited to a photo I saw in a 'How to Hotrod Small-Block Chevys' book 25 years ago. I'm willing to try. What will I need to do the job right? Someone has installed new rings, but didn't hone the cylinders, and the tractor oil-fouls plugs in minutes. I'm having new valve guides installed, too. Thanks for ALL your feedback, please help again. Howard
