I ran into the same thing. Apparently a tire warrantee isn't transferable but flat repairs are. I had to buy a new tire because of a nail in the sidewall. Sidewalls aren't covered but I still had to pay extra for mounting and balancing. I questioned why I had to pay for the mounting since they would have to demount the tire to fix a flat anyway. The tires were still 99% new but everybodies getting greedy these days. Dave
