I'm 55 now and learned something from my wife a few years back.... I did something off the wall. Later I asked if I had embarrassed her, she said, "no, not at all. I knew you were the way you are when I married you. I don't try or plan to change you. You are the way you are and that's it".
Now, she has established that point several times since then. "doesn't try to change anyone". We are who we are. We can improve ourselves, or not... We make that choice, and we live with it. Parents..... Same. They are who they are. Accept it. Respect it...... 2 things will happen, (1)- someday they will be gone and you won't have to deal with it. (2)- someday you'll be that age, maybe a parent yourself
But for now.... U-B-U! 8)
Just think, how boring a place this world would be if we were all just like me!! (or you), or all of us were just like 'de-railed head'. :?
