: Chuck, The A teminal on generator to GEN terminal on regulator. The F terminal on generator to the FLD teminal on regulator. The large wire from harness should be hot at all times and connects to the BAT terminal on the regulator. If indeed you have a regulator, there should be a 4th terminal which would be the LOAD. If ther is no LOAD terminal on the regulator, you probably don't have a regulator at all but rather a cut-out. If this is the case, the small wire from your harness goes direct to the F terminal on the generator and you are the regulator with your four position light switch ain your dash.
