my best corn this year has been conventional, drier and heavier than bt, seed cost from $120 to $220/bag. Remember cheap corn isn't always cheap if a more expensive variety produces 10 to 20 bu/acre more. Some trial and error is involved and when you find a hybrid you like it will probably be discontinued shortly.
