I made the first post and never suspected that this could turn "politcal" or "contraversial."
I live in the "general" area. I'm in a rural farming area 50 miles away, but the nearest "big city" is the NY capital region where this happened. It was on last night's TV news along with this morning's TV news and newspaper.
The woman's name and photograph was shown all over the place, yet no name or photo of the "hero" vet that turned her in (at least I didn't see it).
Note this woman has not been convicted of any crime, yet she's already been judged guilty by the news media, vet, and ASPCA.
I'll further note that I've had several animals with broken legs including a dog and a goat. Fixed them both ourselves when it was too costly at the vet. And yes, one dog had a slight limp the rest of his life - but it was a life he very much enjoyed. So, come arrest me. Note further that both my legs have been broken and are full of steel. Cost many thousands of dollars and I limp a heck of a lot worse then my dog ever did. So, can I arrest the orthopedic surgeon?
The real crime here is the fear these idiots are going to put into some people who may never call a vet again.

Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start
