Amen to the suggestion of Bryan. All batteries lose capacity as they age. Eventually the remaining capacity proves inadequate for a particular application. Overcapacity at the beginning moves the date for inadequacy farther into the future

For several years I had been driving by a farm house on the west side of Indianapolis that had a John Deere combine parked in high weeds in a lot behind the house.
