maybe john deere was just smarter than IH when the designed their tractors. they obviously made the tranny more than stong enough to handle the motor to reduce problems and make them last longer, and when the added larger engines they also beefed up the tranny to handle it. JD WAS THINKING AHEAD TO REDUCE FUTURE PROBLEMS .... WHICH IH SIMPLY FORGOT TO DO....

and all that burnung alot of fuel B.S. is wrong! it all depends on how hard you run your tractors... the harder you run them... the more fuel they are gonna burn.... and the shorter the amount of time the motor will last.
