Ritire early sounds better than 'unemployed' for past 16 months. Previously employed same company for 26 years- a home furnishings manufacturer- that said business got slow. Seems other business also slow- don't want to hire experienced operator when recent graduates available that work cheap -or can't speak Spanish to help the dept that got moved to Mexico like in former employer. I'll survive awhile yet, social security early reptirement is supposed to make deposit in bank account this week. I was planning to retire in 5 years, just adjust to early sleeping late and do some woodworking- made my coffin a few months back. Otherwise could maybe get a stick and sharpen end, go to politicians office to make a pointed remark. RN
