I hear a lot on these forums about how the IH have problems with this or that. Having been a machanic for 15 years working on IH JD Oliver AC Case Massey, and Fergason and worked some of them in the field. We could mention 1 or 2 things aboput the Green. How about the bushing in the rear end on thr PTO that wear through the rear end housing, or the bent shaft in the JD tranny that would have to drove out to replace or the vains on the fan shaft that would pump the oil out of the crankcase, or all of the fluids in a JD getting in the rear end or the fly wheel that could not be tighten up on the old JD's or the gear that drove the brakes the shift on the 3010 opr 4010 better than 706 or 806 don;t think so. Cheching the injecors every 500 Hrs. or the camshaft every 500 HRS. I know IH with 8 9000 hrs. never had injectors out of the head, what about the hitch on the JD's that jump so bad they shake you off the seat just lifting a load if not much RPM on the engine when lifting. Or causing the hitch to leak if you haul big bales with the 3 point. They all have there good and bad. But I well stay with the RED
