Here's the quick and risky way. Shoot a little juice in the cylinders (name your poison). Fill the crankase with diesel. Leave the plugs out, hook a chain to it and pull it. Engage a high gear every now and again. Hang on. When it breaks loose let it turn many times.

Refill with oil. Get fuel and spark. Hope you didn't bend/break anything.

I haven't actually done it, but would if the engine weren't especially valuable.

ALSO If you have the head off forget beating on a piece of wood until you've applied heat. A bit of fuel in the hole and a match works wonders. I know this to work on D4 Caterpillar.
