26" tires are a "tough" size in the small sizes. Like you, I am SHOCKED at that $800 price, and I"m in the tire business. Look around and I think you can find a better price. The tariffs that are placed on the import tires should not raise the prices of domestic tires, although some tires that had been produced in this country by big name tire manufacturers have been moved off shore and will probably fall under the new policy. I unloaded some Firestone tires today that say Costa Rica on the side. If I get a chance tomorrow, I"ll see what Firestones are going for at our store.
