Many people will believe what they read on the internet as gospel truth, including an error in a statement that someone believes to be true. The statement of 48% fat is not true. Milk from jersey cows is higher in fat than the average holstein. Even so, the level of fat rarely is over 6.3%, except in colostrum milk the first couple milkings after calving.
