I can tell the difference a small tank and a big appetite. Anything that takes 6-7 gallons per hour to develop 115 hp is a fuel hog. Why do you think they put turbos on the 44's and went to smaller engines w/turbos on tractors that replaced the 4240? Tanks on the 4430 & 4240 were not significantly different in size anyway.
