I have a niece. Just one. At birth she was the first girl in the family in 90 years after 34 boys. Turned out to be quite an athlete. Her basketball team was no great shakes, but she was their star. She had a nasty habit of passing the ball to less capable players who in most schools would spend their time running up and down the court with the play but never touch the ball. The town and the parents loved her, so neither the coach nor the girls could push her out.She had aspired and actually had a shot at a b'ball scholarship to Tennessee, but she got sick of the politics and said to he11 with it. Sad lesson for a kid to learn from high school sports, I say.
