I've spent 43 years now learning how to work on things and all I can say is in my experience the best written manual will only get you so far then your on your own. But, if I never tore anything up or broke anything, I would have been taking my stuff to someone else all these years. Which would be OK with me except I usually get the "mechanic" who knows far less about my equipment/car/truck than I do. THAT chaps my A$$.
