Hi Gerald, I am sticking to Fergies from now on, had this 540 for 10 years now, never could keep power steering fluid in either end, pump is sad I guess -but in the process of curing these leaks and a few other small jobs, I go and do this. Yeah, after a few minutes any air should have rotated out- of lines or cylinders, but I have a feeling I did like SDE said- I deprimed the pump? the return of the power steering line I rigged up had a nice steady flow coming out into the reservior- the loader frame- I smell a fish in the 4 way valve, the last time I tore into one of those I nearly blinded myself, I was wondering how to bleed that off- safely....
