I run 45 kick on / 65 kick out. I don't like slobbering water, don't like slow dribbles coming from hoses, and despise waiting for hot water. I want that water there and quickly, so this is the setting I use. Excessive pressure? Absolutely not, copper pipes lasted for 30 years without fault, replaced with new cpvc flowguard gold, 6 years without fault. No pipe vibration whatsoever. Pump equipped with anti-sand sock filter. Well has never run dry even in our 10 year drought spell which ended two years ago. In addition, water has to be pushed a quarter mile to the barn.
